Event Details

It is with deep regrets that we have to announce the cancellation of the Cambridge Climate Conference 2009. Due to the challenging economic times the Cambridge Zero Carbon Society is unable to hold the event this year to its desired standard and in its current format. We will post details of future events and initiatives in due course.

We aim to stimulate discussion about practical global climate policy actions in the context of international efforts to replace the Kyoto Treaty; and to engage in the discussion about practical policy and business solutions required to promote investment in clean electricity generation on a global scale.  We will achieve this by inspiring constructive debate and offering a platform for problem solvers to network. We hope to provide continued support for these initiatives and foster a culture for good environmental policy.

The conference brings together experts from different fields related to our themes of international climate policy and decarbonizing electricity generation. The speakers will be experts in fields ranging from finance and economics to innovation and policy, and will include high-level members of EU and US governments. The event will be aimed at policymakers and the number of other industries which are stakeholders in solving this problem.
